Underrated TV serieses's
|
Can anyone recommend some lesser known TV shows that have slipped under the radar?
I've been bingeing on some lovely stuff recently such as The Bureau, Baron Noir and Gomorrah and am now watching the superb Brotherhood - a show I'd never heard of before.
Came out around 10 years ago and is about 2 brothers in Rhode Island - one a politician and the other an Irish mobster. It had excellent critical reviews, so wondered why I'd never heard of it. Glad I'm finally watching it though.

I posted on here about Happy Families by Ben Elton, average series but has the funniest one episode of a sit com I have ever seen. Not met anyone else that saw it except my sister!
More recently I really enjoyed Cradle to the Grave, glad to see there is a second series coming.

Jake and the Fatman starring William Conrad and Joe Penny. Penny was born in Uxbridge and has had a remarkably long career on US television.

As a few have mentioned Spender, I liked the Paradise Club that was around at the same sort of time.

Cheers. Pity Sky don't have it on their box set choices.
Some lesser known ones years ago I loved as a kid were Petrocelli, Midnight Caller and Matt Houston.

Stick was a brilliant character. I only read a few weeks back that he died. Sad loss was a good actor.

zico 2:39 Tue Jan 31 Re: Underrated TV serieses's Would anyone suggest Boston Legal as a good watch? Been reading William Shatner's autobiography (very good btw) and I was never really bothered about it at the time but am now considering nabbing the box set from somewhere if I can. Yes or no? ___
starts well but become a parody itself after about series 2-3
which is the problem with most TV series...
